Mercury Consortium refreshes brand identity

August 12, 2026

Today Mercury Consortium has unveiled a refreshed logo and colour palette, marking the next phase in our as an independent certification body for consumer energy devices.

Following the first Mercury certifications for EV charging products earlier this year, we are expanding across new device classes and engaging a growing membership base spanning manufacturers, utilities, technology providers and regulators.

The refreshed identity has been designed for longevity and consistency across the contexts where Mercury appears, from technical documentation and specification materials through to member communications, regulatory submissions and industry events.

The update comes as we continue to expand our certification scope. EVSE certification and onboarding is now live, specification development for battery energy storage systems is underway, and our heat and cooling working group is ramping up ahead of work on heat pumps, hot water cylinders and HVAC systems.

Our mission has not changed. Mercury exists to make consumer energy devices work reliably with the grid, regardless of manufacturer, market or programme.
